Hello,

My name is Kasyn Self (formerly Creighton) and this is my husband Ethan pictured with me at our wedding. I am so excited to be here on this journey called The Barn at Tinsley Crossing. I hope to have the opportunity to work with you in the future. Here is my story on how The Barn got started. . .

My Story

My name is Kasyn Self, the proud owner of The Barn at Tinsley Crossing. I am a former student of Eastern New Mexico University (go hounds) with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture Business. My roots run deep in agriculture and I love all things animals, farming, and ranching. I grew up on a cattle ranch in Elida, New Mexico and when I  was not playing sports or doing my other extracurriculars, I worked at my family's business, Creighton's Town and Country. I love the Family business with all of my heart, and I still work there to this day with hopes to one day put my parents into retirement and take over the business with my older sister, Kynzi.

All of my life I had it "all figured out". I was going to finish high school, get a college degree, and then work at the store for the rest of my life. This plan seemed perfect, and to me, it still is, only with a minor addition. In July of 2020, my sister Kynzi got married. With so many friends and family so close to home, she and her husband decided they wanted to get married in the Eastern New Mexico area. Kynzi and Tate decided to get married at the Elida City Park and it was a gorgeous event to say the least, but after the wedding,

I realized there was a big need for a facility like The Barn in our area. Shortly after the wedding, I began to hunt for a piece of property that would fit my vision. My grandad Johnny knew about this vision and one day in October he called me and told me to meet him at the location of the barn because he had found the place to make my dreams a reality. After a few weeks of thinking, I finally made the purchase and began the renovation of the barn. The entire remodel process was such fun for me. No one told me that shortly after completing the venue, I would meet the love of my life and get proposed to. EEEEKKK! I then began planning my own dream wedding at my venue. I got married at The Barn in September of 2022, and now, more so than ever The Barn holds an even more special place in my heart.  I truly can not wait to serve you at your event and I can't thank you all enough for the support you have shown me thus far. This is a dream come true.
